Care

Wash: Machine wash cold, with like colours.
Dry: Tumble dry low.
Iron: Low heat, never over the print. Don't dry clean.
Bleach: No.
Expect: The cloth is washed before the garment is made up, so it arrives soft rather than stiff.
Embroidery: The brushed face takes stitching well.

Good to know

A new print can smell faintly of vinegar, or carry a pale mark from the pre-treatment. Both wash out.
Keep it out of direct sunlight before that first wash — the pre-treatment can sun-stain, and that doesn’t come out.
No fabric softener. It dulls the print.
On embroidery, iron around the stitching rather than over it. We’ve washed ours repeatedly and they’ve held up.

These are the garment’s own measurements, not body sizes — and one maker’s medium isn’t another’s, so it’s worth a look before you choose. Soft fabrics never cut quite identically, so allow a little either way.

Width is measured flat, underarm to underarm — double it for the full way round. Sleeve length is listed as the same in every size, 18.3 in (46.4 cm). This blank is made to two specifications — SASW036 for the US and STSW212 for Europe — and the figures above are the ones our fulfiller publishes for both.

How this one fits

Women's Organic Sweatshirt

Mid-weight brushed fleece with a women's cut — dropped shoulders and an adjusted length that shapes the body rather than hanging straight. The face is 100% organic cotton and the cloth is washed before the garment is made up, so it arrives soft rather than stiff. The ribbed collar, cuffs and hem have no elastane in them, so they hold their shape without gripping. This one is made in two places: units made in Europe are 100% organic cotton, and units made in the US are 80% organic cotton with 20% recycled polyester.

Cut

Women's specific cut with dropped shoulders and an adjusted length. It follows a European sizing convention, so a letter size comes up smaller than the same letter on a US blank — size up if you are used to US sizing.

Tear-away labels — they come out cleanly, nothing left behind.
Dropped shoulders, so the seam sits down the arm rather than on it.
1 × 1 ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, with no elastane in them.
Self-fabric half-moon at the back neck.
Twin-needle topstitching at the hem, cuffs and armholes.

Damaged, misprinted or just wrong — that’s on us. Send your order number and a photo within 30 days of delivery and we’ll replace it or refund you in full. Not sure it counts? Tell us anyway.

Comfort is personal, and sometimes a piece just isn’t right once it’s on. There’s no rush to decide — give it a few wears and a wash, and if it still doesn’t suit you, tell us within 60 days. A replacement in the size you need, a different piece, or store credit. Having worn it won’t count against you.
